Our Story
A House of
Distinction Since 1998
Founded in 1998, UK Hotel Club was conceived with a singular vision: to create London's most exceptional adults-only hospitality destination — a place where understated luxury, world-class entertainment, and genuine personal service exist under one roof.
Our founder, Sir Edward Harrington, acquired the Georgian townhouse at 14 Berkeley Square and undertook a three-year restoration, preserving the original plasterwork ceilings and marble flooring while introducing every modern luxury a discerning guest could desire.
Today, more than two decades on, UK Hotel Club remains independently owned and operated — a rare thing in modern luxury hospitality — ensuring that our standards are set not by corporate mandate but by genuine passion for excellence.

General Manager with 18 years of luxury hospitality experience across London and Paris. Victoria personally oversees every aspect of the guest experience at UK Hotel Club.
Culinary Direction
Marcus Hale
Executive Chef and two-time recipient of the UK Hospitality Award for Culinary Excellence. Chef Hale's menus at The Clifford restaurant are celebrated by guests and critics alike.
Entertainment
Oliver Pemberton
Director of Entertainment with a background in private members' clubs across Mayfair and St James's. Oliver curates the exceptional programming of our nightly entertainment lounge.
